This is awkward in a sense... but I guess it doesn't matter because I have nothing else to do. I'm a freshman and I am happy we are talking about food for this english class, because I like food. My parents used to own a restaurant, so thats pretty interesting I guess. My roommate is a vegetarian/vegan, which is very very uncommon in Utah/highly LDS populated areas (which means BYU as well). It bothers me sometimes, but I give her kudos for eating so healthy. This semester at BYU I'm taking 18 credit hours, so give me a break if I don't have time to waste on this blog (besides class, obviously).

Congratulations on getting along with your vegetarian roommate. It can be a lot harder than it sounds. I lived with a vegetarian my sophomore year and it was…tense. I probably didn’t help matters by loving conventional protein sources as much as I do but if a girl can’t make a pot roast in her own kitchen then there is something very wrong with society. I assume you're in non-cooking dorms?
You're crazy 18 credit hours. wow... that's admirable.. i don't think i'll ever do that many. Well have fun on your trip tomorrow:)
I couldn't agree with you more sara! I'm actually in heritage halls, so they are cooking. My roomate has a "new year's resolution" to be vegan, so there have been some pretty interesting concoctions in our kitchen. And I still love meat!!! Yay!
So your roommate just decided to be a vegan? did she eat meat before? haha, i think i would go crazy! Props to you!
What restaurant did your parents own?
Wow I could never do 18 credits as a freshman! That's awesome
Wow that is a lot of credit hours! Yeah i don't blame you if you don't have any extra time to spend writing blogs :) That is interesting that your room mate is a vegetarian. You definitely don't find that every day at BYU.
