Utah Drivers Really Are Horrible

Growing up in Utah, I guess I just became used to it. Now it drives me insane (no pun intended). Now that I know people who are from out of state, I always hear them talking about how horrible Utah drivers are. Whatever. California drivers are terrible! I'm talking from more than one experience, but Saturday night I drove up to Salt Lake to see my brother who is in the hospital. I swear there must have been a Retarded Drivers Anonymous convention near by that everyone on the freeway was trying to get to. I was cut off at least 3 times, tail gated, swerved around, and (the most annoying) people riding up my tail pipe with their brights on full blast. This is in 50 minutes of driving and my patience, brotherly kindness, and action bridling was put to the test. I passed though! What are the most annoying things people do to you when you drive? I'm open to any good road rage stories! :)

I think you hit just about every annoying thing that you can choose from. I think all of those things have happened to me at one time or another. I'm just glad they all didn't happen in the same trip. I think I would have gone crazy.

Gosh Ashley, I didn't know you had so much rage in you. What if they weren't the problem and you were? haha just kidding. I'm just glad you were kept safe I don't know what I would do without you in my group...

Merging...Utah drivers never let anyone merge they are too concerned with themselves. I despise them even though i'm probably one of them

Are Utah drivers that bad? It really doesn't make sense to me that people drive different only because they were raised in different places. Some people are just bad drivers and some people are good drivers. Like sports. Some people can play basketball, some people can't. I refuse to go on saying that people from a specific state are worse drivers than others. If I were to say that, I would have to say California drivers are the worse. But I'm not going to.

I think Utah drivers are pretty bad. I'm from Oregon and our driving laws are a lot more strict than here in Utah. I think people aren't instinctively bad drivers. I think that the laws of this state breed terrible drivers. My brother was in a very ugly accident about three years ago. The guy who hit him was not only drunk but he was carrying weapons in his car without a concealed weapons liscence. And to make it better this was the guys 6th offense. The man got away basically scotch free. He didn't have his liscence removed or even suspended! Oh and unprotected left turns are not the safest thing around.
